The Pakistani Minister of Finance, Mohammad Ishaq Dar called for a control mechanism to monitor the prices of daily commodities to ensure the stability of their prices, said an official press release Thursday. According to press release, the minister said that the district price control committee was to be established by taking representative from government functionaries, consumers and producers. A detailed plan of action was discussed to control the prices of the commodities and maintain a continuous check on the prices during the holy month of Ramadan. At the meeting of the National Price Monitoring Committee, it was decided that Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination through the Cabinet Division would present a draft bill to Cabinet for restoration of executive magistracy in Pakistan. The representatives attended the meeting from the Provinces of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhthunkhwa, Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory, and ministries of Industries, Law and Justice, Commerce, Food Security, Interior, Inter Provincial Coordination, Cabinet, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, Federal Board of Revenue and Utility Stores Corporation.
