Islamabad - QNA

Pakistan and India have agreed to resume trade across Line of Control in Kashmir.According to a statement issued by Foreign Office, the decision has been taken after successful round of talks between the officials of the two countries.Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam Wednesday said that Pakistan and India have also decided to exchange seventy-five stranded truck drivers and their vehicles held up on either side. The trade between two sides of Kashmir was disturbed on January 17 when the Jammu and Kashmir Police of Indian Occupied Kashmir allegedly recovered 114 kg of brown sugar that was smuggled from Pakistan side in a truck through cross LoC trade and the Pakistani driver was taken into custody. After the arrest of the driver, Pakistan also detained 27 India truck drivers while Indian side held up 48 Pakistani trucks, then the bus service across LoC was also suspended which was followed by a number of rounds of talks between the two countries but was resumed in last week while both the countries have agreed to resume the trade across Line of Control.
