Islamabad - Arabstoday

Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed in principle to extend the Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement beyond Afghanistan to the countries in Central Asia. It was decided during a meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Chicago on the sidelines of the Nato summit, official APP news agency reported. Presidential spokesman Senator Farhatullah Babar said that both the countries agreed that the modalities of extension of the trade accord to Central Asian states will be worked out later.
