Labour Minister Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan led Bahrain's delegation to the 40th session of the Arab Labour Conference which is held under the patronage of Algerian President Abdulaziz Butaflika in the Algerian capital from April 15 to 22. The delegation comprises representatives of the government from Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions and the Free Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions. The conference spotlights key issues pertaining to pan-Arab labour work, including insurance against unemployment, which was proposed by Bahrain and supported by the Arab Labour Organisation, and employment amid economic and social changes in the Arab world. it also focuses on the role of the private sector in solving the problem of unemployment
