Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) handed in necessities, bread and blankets, to some 6,000 Syrian refugee families fleeing violence raging in their country since March 2011, said an official here Saturday. Speaking to KUNA, KRCS representative Khaled Al-Zaid said the distribution of the goods came in line with the state of Kuwait's concern over the dire situation the Syrian refugees are living in especially with the cold weather in Jordan. He stressed that there was more work to be done to meet the needs of the Syrian refugees, noting that the KRCS' field teams came to this conclusion during numerous visits to refugee camps in the country. The KRCS will continue its efforts to help the Syrian refugees in Jordan, said Al-Said.
