A ministerial team on Sunday met community leaders, parliament members, mayors and economists in Irbid to discuss development projects to be launched in the northern governorate during the years 2013-2016 at a cost of JD402 million. Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Saif, who led the team, said the meeting was to elicit the views of various sectors about the development plan in order to "carry out key adjustments to ensure they meet the basic needs and urgent priorities and bring real development to the Kingdom's various regions." He said the gathering, the sixth in a series of consultative meetings in the governorates, was an opportunity to learn first-hand about development projects needed and parallel service ventures as part of the overall national development strategy.
