Istanbul - Anadolu

Second Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI) Summit, established in order to strengthen children\'s and youth\'s individual abilities through financial access and training, and to allow them gain financial awareness, will be held in Istanbul on May 7-9. Second CYFI Summit will be held under the patronage of the Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CMB), in collaboration with Bourse Istanbul, and with the contributions of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), Istanbul Takas Bank, Central Registry Agency (CRA) and the Association of Capital Market Intermediary Institutions of Turkey (TSPAKB). 150 children and youth visiting Turkey on the occasion of the Summit will ring the opening bell of Bourse Istanbul on Wednesday. The Summit will start on May 8, with an opening meeting to be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan as well as CMB Chairman Dr. Vahdettin Ertas, Chairman & CEO of Bourse Istanbul Ibrahim M. Turhan and CYFI Managing Director Jeroo Billimoria.  CYFI has nearly 500 strategic partners including international companies and non-governmental organizations including the OECD, UN Development Fund, UNESCO, UNICEF, European Cooperative Banks Association, Union of Arab Banks, The Wharton School, University of Buffalo, and World Entrepreneurship Forum. CYFI brings together children and youth with senior level executives from various sectors through organizing summits. The first CYFI summit meeting on \"Financial Access\" and \"Financial Training for Children and Youth\" was held in Amsterdam with the participation of 364 public and private sector representatives from 83 countries and 70 children and youth from 40 countries on April 24, 2012. CYFI expects to reach 100 million children in 100 countries by 2015.
