Iran exported over 2.3 billion U.S. dollars of technical and engineering services in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 20, 2012, Tehran Times daily reported on Saturday. According to the report, the exported services were predominantly in the hydroelectric, power and transmission sectors to Asian and African countries. Iran aims to export 4.5 billion dollars of technical and engineering services in the current calendar year ending on March 20, 2013. During 2001-2011, Iran exported over 20 billion dollars of technical and engineering services, the head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, Hamid Safdel, said recently, adding that the exports were mainly related to power, industry, road and petrochemical sectors.
