The Minister of Investment Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail has said that the real problem impeding the investment process is the land issue, calling on the states to allocate sites free of inhibitions to prevent any dispute between investors and citizens. The minister said, during his speech at a deliberative meeting in Neyala Friday, that the ministry intended to establish an investment conference for the people of Darfur in Khartoum and the Diaspora to attract domestic and foreign investment to the states in which available a minimum investment limit and development requirements. Dr. Ismail explained that the Investment Act, which was signed by the President of the Republic recently, included incentives and facilities to encourage investment in the states, adding that the Neyala Commercial investment Fair, which is currently being organized is a chance to get acquainted with various investment fields. He pointed to the agricultural, livestock, industrial and mineral capabilities of the city of Neyala.
