It is both unfair and unacceptable to undermine the landmark labour achievements in the kingdom, serve narrow Interests and politicize labour affairs as a means to earn more gains that have nothing to do with workers' interests, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said, stressing that the government has done a lot for the national manpower. "Denying those achievements and distorting their advanced level will have no echo because the world and its organisations are well-informed about what has been accomplished thanks to the government's efforts and have always voiced their appreciation," HRH Premier asserted, adding that the government has always adopted and championed employees' legitimate rights out of its constant desire to support the labour march. This came as HRH Premier chaired here today a work meeting devoted to labour affairs and the government's plans to upgrade the labour environment. HRH Prime Minister confirmed that that the government has succeeded in securing impressive labour achievements and supporting trade unions' work, and will carry on its efforts to consolidate them further so as to meet the aspirations of Bahraini workers. The Premier stressed that distorting the reality of the labour situation in the kingdom, despite the government's effective and transparent endeavours to address it, is part of the defamatory campaigns orchestrated against the kingdom. HRH Premier highlighted the importance of developing plans to keep the un-employment rate at its lowest, taking pride in the success of the efforts of the government to reduce un-employment, ensure job and training opportunities for job-seekers and enhance the effective partnership between the public and private sectors in order to create more jobs. HRH Premier also pointed out that the government will do its utmost to achieve the highest employment rates through creating an investment-stimulating atmosphere based necessarily on security and stability.
