French President Francois Hollande will travel Tuesday to Rome for talks with Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti, said a statement from the Elysee. The two leaders will discuss the debt crisis in the euro zone before next European Council's conference on Oct. 18 and 19 which will mainly exam the report of the inspectors of the "troika" (European Union, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund) on Greece, according to local media. The French president's visit to Rome is within the framework of diplomatic consultations which started late August. The French head of state will receive President of the European Union, Herman Van Rompuy in Paris on Wednesday, before heading to London on Thursday to meet with British Prime Minister David Cameron where he will also attend the ongoing Paralympic Games.
