GDP remained stable in the euro area and rose by 0.2% in the EU during the second quarter of 2014, compared with the previous quarter, according to figures published by Eurostat, the EU statistical office, on Thursday.
In the first quarter of 2014, GDP grew by 0.2% in the euro area and by 0.3% in the EU.
Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, GDP rose by 0.7% in the euro area and by 1.2% in the EU in the second quarter of 2014.
During the second quarter of 2014, GDP in the United States increased by 1% compared with the previous quarter, noted Eurostat.
