UBIFRANCE, the French international business development agency, is renewing its trust in Index, the international furniture and interior design exhibition, by bringing over a French pavilion. Index is opening in Dubai today. The French pavilion, exhibiting in hall 3 of the Dubai World Trade Centre, will showcase a wide range of products tailor-made to local requirements. “The Middle East and France have very rapidly found common ground when it comes down to decoration. The know-how and style cultivated by French companies are extremely well received in the Middle East. But to ensure the loyalty of very demanding customers, they need to show tremendous creativity while maintaining irreproachable quality. This year again, French exhibitors rise to the challenge,” said UbiFrance in a statement. Products to be showcased at the pavilion include cutlery and tableware from Alain Saint-Joanis, Jean Dubost, Locau and Cristal de Paris. Household fabrics and linen offer up their amazing spectrum of colours with Artiga. New design and functional textile solutions are the keywords for Muguet whose upholstery fabrics, distributed by renowned editors, are adapted to the hotel sector and outdoors. In furniture, Ego Sas offers customised solutions for hotels, interior and exterior designers and landscape architects to create or recreate a treasured art of living. There is a decidedly big focus on outdoors this year. Green City stages and gives value to flowers through its designer and hi-tech double-walled pot collections which may also be used indoors. Expertise, quality and originality for concepts by Cactose combining water, plants and natural materials to create products exuding a relaxing atmosphere. The art of living is upheld by Chevillotte through its billiards and games accessory ranges which the company combines in its entertainment room concepts. “For the bathroom, Horus, which has several prestigious hotel references, presents a range of upmarket French-made cast iron taps, combining classic-retro and modern minimalism,” the release said.
