The Dubai-based philanthropic organisation, the Dar Al Ber Society, has said that over 100,000 underprivileged people have benefitted from its Adahi (Sacrifice) project.

According to Abdullah Ali bin Zayed, Executive Director of the Dar Al Ber Society, the project was launched by the society in the UAE and around the world on the eve of Eid al-Adha. "These included 84,912 people in the UAE and 23,100 abroad," he added.

He stressed that the UAE’s noted and generous philanthropic activities are recognised by the entire world. "The UAE leads all donors and proudly takes the initiative in all humanitarian and voluntary work and programmes, both locally and abroad," he further added.

"Dar Al Ber, as always, shall be effectively involved in all the charitable and humanitarian initiatives launched by the UAE’s prudent leaders, to benefit the poor, the needy, orphans, those displaced and those affected by disasters worldwide," he concluded.
