Beijing - XINHUA

China and Zambia on Wednesday agreed to boost their trade exchanges as Zambian president Michael Chilufya Sata continued a state visit to China. In a meeting with Sata, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang urged China and Zambia to further increase mutual trust and provide political safeguards for cooperation. The two sides should expand trade exchanges and deepen investment and financing cooperation, said Li, pledging to promote technology transfer and personnel training for Zambia in a bid to enhance the country's capacity for self development. The premier expressed his hope that Zambia could guarantee the legal rights of Chinese enterprises.Sata, for his part, voiced appreciation for China's help and support in recent years, saying his country firmly sticks to the one-China policy and welcomes investment from more Chinese firms. The Zambian president also attended the annual conference of the Boao Forum for Asia on Sunday.
