The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has welcomed the appointment of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, as First Deputy Premier for the Development of the Performance of the Executive Branch's Bodies. According to BCCI Chairman Dr. Issam Abdulla Fakhro, the Royal Decree appointing HRH Crown Prince to the new post reflects HM the King's keen interest to upgrade the work of governmental bodies and improve their output, hailing HRH Crown Prince's development capabilities and role in consolidating the government's work, which, he said, will be supported and completed by the wisdom and statesmanship of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. He added that the move will pave the way for more reforms and unify the government's plans, strategies and development programmes through the joint efforts of HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince, which will the national march forward. He noted that the government, under HRH Premier's leadership, has made significant development and modernization strides, stressing that HRH Crown Prince's work alongside HRH Prime Minister will optimize achievements thanks to HRH Prince Salman's enlightened vision. He also expressed confidence that HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince will revitalize the national economy and enhance partnership with the private sector, explaining that HRH Premier is the main supporter of public-private sector partnership and HRH Crown Prince's distinguished initiatives will boost the productivity and competitivity of the private sector. He said that the Royal Decree will satisfy the business, industrial and investment sides inside and outside the kingdom, enhance investors' trust in the country's investment atmosphere, boost the economic momentum and enable Bahrain to avail of HRH Crown Prince's skills in developing the performance of the executive apparatus and reform administrative work according to a national programme based on HM the King's directives, the government's development work plan and the Economic Vision for Bahrain, 2030. He underlined that the move affirms the existing complementarity and harmony between the leadership, through which the kingdom earned milestone achievements. Dr Fakhro commended the efforts and crucial role played by HRH Crown Prince to promote Bahrain as a hub of investments, excellence and pioneering projects, noting that his chairmanship of the Economic Development Board (EDB) has benefited the national economy and enhanced development. BCCI Chief said that HRH Premier's wisdom and experience will enrich the government's work in the coming period, hailing his far-sightedness, dedication, constant keenness to upgrade the standards of living of all the citizens, without distinction. He also praised the Premier's landmark initiatives to consolidate the role of the private sector in the kingdom, noting that the appointment of HRH Crown Prince as his First Deputy will increase his efforts to optimize achievements for the homeland. He asserted that the continuity of the coordination and cooperation between the public and private sectors will bring about more development and progress for the kingdom. He pointed out that the kingdom, under HM the King's wise leadership, and the government, chaired by HRH Premier and supported by HRH Crown Prince, have achieved a lot in a short period of time, and will continue to do so in order to ensure a better future. He also pledged that BCCI will do its utmost to support the directives of the wise leadership.
