His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister will visit India and Japan from 17-21 March 2013, where he will meet senior officials to discuss cooperation on political, economic and cultural issues. His Royal Highness will be accompanied by an official delegation including a number of leading businessmen. Japan and India are both significant Asian economies that have achieved major strides commercially, industrially and in the field of economic development, marking the importance of these visits. His Royal Highness’ visit to Japan will build upon His Majesty the King’s successful visit last year, and seek to further boost economic and investment activities between the two nations. Meanwhile, His Royal Highness’ visit to the Indian state of Kerala emphasizes the ongoing economic and trade cooperation, building on existing agreements and understandings between India and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The visit also pays tribute to the invaluable contribution of the Indian community throughout Bahrain society.
