Algeria can be a major gas supplier for Japan, Tokyo Gas’ Representative Director Shigeru Muraki told APS Monday in London (UK) on the sidelines of the 26th edition of “Gas Tech 2012” Conference. “Algeria is a gas exporter with a long experience in the area. It’s one of the most reliable gas suppliers in the world. Japan is currently examining the possibility of importing natural gas from countries from the other side of Atlantic to diversify its resources, andin this regard, Algeria can play a key role,” Muraki said. Japan’s main suppliers of natural gas are currently Russia, Malaysia and Australia, he added.
