Minister of Transportation Ibrahim al-Demeri said the ministry is preparing an urgent plan to implement a number of service projects including railways and metro as well as roads, bridges and ports. In a press release on Friday, al-Demeri said the projects include developing Cairo, Sidi Gaber, Zefta, Tall al Kebir and Abu Qir railways stations at a cost of 450 million pounds. Also, the ministry will develop 128 train vehicles at a cost of 158 million pounds. The ministry will also set up a number of elevators in Al-Saida Zinab, Ain Shams, Ghamra, Dar El-Salam, el-Marg metro stations at a cost of 16 million pounds, al-Demeri added. (MENA)
