The Standard and Poor\'s 500 off 36 points Monday, added 22.21 points or 1.43 percent to 1,574.57. The tech-oriented Nasdaq composite added 48.14 points or 1.5 percent Tuesday after a 78 point drop Monday. The Nasdaq closed Tuesday at 3,264.63.
