Istanbul - Anadolu

Companies whose shares are dealt at Bourse Istanbul will give dividends worth 12.8 billion Turkish liras (approx. 7.15 billion USD) in 2013, a record figure for the Bourse. Total dividends to be given away may reach 15 billion TL (approx. 8.4 billion USD). According to figures obtained from Bourse Istanbul and various companies, gross dividends of companies active in Bourse Istanbul has reached a value bigger than 12.8 billion TL. As there are companies expected to announce their dividends, the total dividend record of Bourse Istanbul may reach 15 billion TL. One of those companies is Turkcell Communications Services Company. Due to court cases and disagreements between partners, Turkcell has not been able to convene a general assembly meeting in the last three years and no decisions could be made on dividends. Analysts argue that Turkcell may be able to issue dividends worth 2.5 billion TL (approx. 1.4 billion USD). To date, Migros was the company which issued the highest dividends in Turkey. Migros issued dividends worth 2.4 billion TL on August 4, 2009. The companies in 2012 had issued dividends worth 10.9 billion TL (approx. 6.1 billion USD).
