Qatar stocks slipped back into the red zone Wednesday with QSE's benchmark index dropping 169.73 points (-1.45%) when the bourse closed trading at 11,503.72 points.
The market capitalisation decreased to QR 622.49 Billion from QR 631.23 Billion registered Tuesday.
The traded value today declined to QR 272.84 Million with a traded volume of 6,041,021 shares from 4,002 transactions compared to QR 403.81 Million with a volume of 8,077,731 shares from 4,729 transactions on Tuesday.
Indices of all sectors ended in the red zone today with banks and financial sector index dropping the most -2.09% to 3,129.72 points.
Industries dropped -1.25% (3,717.6 points), insurance -1.22% (4,160.28 points), transport -0.91% (2,388.24 points), real estate -0.62% (2,329.82 points), telecoms -0.26% (1,326.93 points) and consumer goods and services -0.16% (6,889.54 points).
From the 43 listed companies on QSE, shares of 39 saw trading today. From these 29 went down, eight gained and two remained unchanged.
