Qatar Exchange gained 28.46 points (+0.23 percent) as it closed Tuesday at 12,264.38 points up from the previous closing of 12,235.92.
The volume of shares traded decreased to 9,497,235 from 10,146,931 on Monday, and the value of shares rose to QR418,668,938.80 from QR475,629,196.15.
Among the top gainers were Comm. Bank of Qatar whose share was up 0.57 percent to QR70.30 and Doha Insurance with a 0.75 percent added to QR 26.80 per share. Vodafone Qatar gained 0.28 percent to QR 18.10 and Barwa rose by 1.15 percent to QR 48.55.
Banking and financial services sector was up 0.21 percent to 3,278.1 points while Industries sector down 0.27 percent 4,046.41 points. Real estate sector added 1.00 percent to 2,434.19 points and Consumer Goods & Services sector added 0.17 percent to 7,177.81 points.
From the 43 listed companies shares of 38 saw trading today. From these, 28 gained, 10 declined.
