Qatar Exchange index gained 108.7 points (+0.84) when trading closed at 19,990.4 points here Monday.
The traded value increased to QR 536,142,947.38 with a volume of 12,065,003 shares from 6,354 transactions.
Today 21 companies made gains, 15 went down and four remained unchanged from the 40 firms whose shares brokers and investors traded.
Qatari individual investors bought shares worth QR 243,168,626.11 (45.36%) from a traded volume 6,028,766 shares.
Qatar institutional investors bought shares worth QR 82,727,648.72 (15.43%) from a traded volume of 1,777,947 shares.
Qatar individual investors sold shares worth QR 281,694,482.57 (52.54%) from a traded volume of 6,411,254 shares.
Qatari institutional investors sold shares worth QR101,136,999.86 (18.86%) from a traded volume of 1,949,678 shares.
Four banks made gains today, with Qatar Islamic Bank topping at +1.5% to close at QR 101.50 from Sunday's QR 100.
Medicare (+1.49%) led gainers from consumer goods and services. Its share closed at to QR 88.50 from Sunday's QR 87.20.
From the industrial sector, Gulf International made robust gain of +4.81% with a traded volume of 494,947 shares when it closed at QR 109 from the previous QR 104.
State entity, Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) witnessed the largest volume of trading at 2,274,492 shares to close +1.9% at QR 23.08.
