Qatar Exchange index drops 58.28 points (0.66%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 8,734.56 points. The trading value this week increased by 12.76% to reach QR 1,477,644,089.60 compared to QR 1,310,474,794.07. Trading volume increased by 44.08% to reach 37,559,120 shares as against 26,068,551 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 19.72%, to reach 17,448 transactions as compared to 14,574 transactions. The Market capitalization fell by 0.67% to reach QR 473,594,435,631.03 as compared to QR 476,777,550,924.63 at the end of previous week. Banks and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 41.19% of the total trading value. Industries sector accounted for 23.72%. The Real Estate sector accounted for 11.75% and Transportation sector accounted for 9.38%. Banks and Financial Services sector led traded volume this week with 34.59% of the total trading volume. The Real Estate sector accounted for 24.02%. The Transportation sector accounted for 18.27% and Industries sector accounted for 12.20%. Banks and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 35.85% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 21.17%. The Real Estate sector accounted for 13.70% and Transportation sector accounted for 12.15%. From the 42 listed companies,19 ended this week higher while 20 fell and three unchanged. The Industries Qatar led traded value this week with 13.84% of the total trading value. Doha Bank accounted for 9.24% and Commercial Bank accounted for 9.05%.
