Qatar Exchange index lost 51.12 points (-0.41%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday at 12,445.34 points.
Trading value during this week decreased by 14.74% to reach QR 2,272,171,408.52 compared to QR 2,664,960,975.81.
Trading volume decreased by 23.03% to reach 48,731,033 shares, as against 63,307,878 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 8.95%, to reach 26,135 transactions as compared to 28,704 transactions.
Market capitalization fell by 0.33% to reach QR 675,344,504,362.08 as compared to QR 677,593,266,662.58 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 32.34% of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 20.75%. Real Estate sector accounted for 16.71% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 12.36%.
Telecoms sector led traded volume this week with for 27.43% of the total traded volume. Real Estate sector accounted for 26.65%. Banking and Financial Services sector ranked third accounted for 21.44% and Industrials sector accounted for 12.36%.
Industries sector led traded number of transactions this week accounted for 27.12% of the total number of transactions. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 23.55%. Real Estate sector accounted for 18.64% and Telecoms sector accounted for 12.67%.
From the 43 listed companies 19 ended this week higher, while 23 fell and 1 unchanged.
Vodafone Qatar led traded value during this week accounted for 10.29% of the total traded value. Barwa Real Estate accounted for 9.56% and QNB accounted for 8.19%.
