The MSM30 Index ended on a flat note to close at 5896.600 points, marginally up by 0.01 per cent. Al Anwar Holding was the most active in terms of volume, while Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover. National Finance stood as the top gainer for the day and closed up by 3.57 per cent while Oman Orix Leasing was the top loser for the day and closed down by 3.33 per cent. A total number of 1,899 trades were executed in yesterday's trading session generating turnover of OMR8.25 million with over 28.5 million shares traded. Out of 60 traded stocks, 20 advanced, 23 declined and 10 remained unchanged. Foreign investors were net buyers for OMR503,000 followed by GCC and Arab investors for OMR145,000 while Omani investors were net sellers for OMR647,000 worth of shares . Financial Sector Index was marginally down by 0.03 per cent and closed at 7013.70 points. National Finance, Al Anwar Holding, Global Financial Investment, Gulf Investment Services and Oman United Insurance increased by 3.57 per cent, 3.21 per cent, 0.97 per cent, 0.96 per cent and 0.91 per cent, respectively. Oman Orix Leasing, Taageer Finance, Al Sharqia Investment, Transgulf Holding and United Finance declined by 3.33 per cent, 2.13 per cent, 1.94 per cent, 1.85 per cent and 1.71 per cent, respectively. The Industrial Sector Index closed at 7778.85 points, up by 0.16 per cent. Oman Chlorine, Gulf International Chemicals, National Aluminium Products, Oman Refreshment and Jazeera Steel Product increased by 3.45 per cent, 3.43 per cent, 3.29 per cent, 1.04 per cent and 1.01 per cent, respectively. Oman Fisheries, Galfar Engineering, Al Anwar Ceramic, Raysut Cement and Oman Flour Mills declined by 0.96 per cent, 0.55 per cent, 0.50 per cent, 0.41 per cent and 0.20 per cent, respectively. Services Sector Index closed at 2969.21 points, marginally down by 0.09 per cent. Salalah Port Services, OIFC, Nawras, Port Service Corporation and Sohar Power increased by 2.65 per cent, 1.59 per cent, 0.41 per cent, 0.18 per cent and 0.18 per cent, respectively. SMN Power Holding, Al Jazeira Services, United Power, National Gas and Renaissance Services declined by 1.41 per cent, 1.04 per cent, 1.01 per cent, 0.74 per cent and 0.42 per cent, respectively.
