Jeddah - Arab Today

KPMG Al-Fozan & Partner has appointed Kholoud Mousa as a partner in its Jeddah office. The company said the appointment reflects KPMG’s continued commitment to its clients in Saudi Arabia, a growing market with the potential for further development. It also aims to enhance its services in sectors that are in high demand such as audit, an area that is currently undergoing a major overhaul in Saudi Arabia.
Mousa is the first Saudi woman licensed to practice as a certified public accountant in the Kingdom. A member of SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants), Mousa has extensive professional experience in audit and tax issues acquired through her involvement in various sectors. As an advocate for diversity and inclusiveness, she has been engaged in leading country-wide nationalization and women empowerment strategies, as well as promoting audit and financial advisory as a profession to Saudi graduates, especially females.
Ebrahim Oboud Baeshen, KPMG’s managing partner in Jeddah, said: “I am pleased to welcome all distinguished leaders with extensive experience in the market to join our growing team at KPMG. We believe that our national talent coupled with our international expertise and standards will bring value-added services to our clients in the markets where they operate.”
He added: “Utilizing the leadership and expertise of women is part of KPMG’s strategy of diversity and inclusion to empower women in the workplace.
It is a step in the right direction that underlines our belief in Saudi women and their ability to play an important role in an extremely vital sector like audit. This is extremely important in light of the current market growth and permanent need for qualified and trained Saudi professionals.”
