Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC)
Manama - BNA

The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) hosted a training workshop on the art of public speaking at its club in Eker.
The event, for Ministry of Education students, was organised by inJAz Bahrain under the auspices of GPIC President and inJAz Chairman Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery and attended by company officials along with those from the Bahrain Monetary Agency.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Jawahery spoke about the goals of inJAz and said it was working towards creating a conscious generation capable of taking responsibility for Bahrain’s development.
He thanked inJAz Chief Executive Officer Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa for her dedication and sacrifices to serve Bahrain and developing the skills and education level of the children as well as the institution.
Addressing the students, Dr. Jawahery said: "You are the future generation and your training has provided you with all the skills you need to succeed in life. Your success will contribute positively to the success of Bahrain."
Dr. Jawahery said every young Bahraini is capable of being creative if given the right environment and encouragement and expressed confidence they would do well in life.
He also urged students to take advantage of the programmes and services they are being given and encouraged them to adopt creative thinking across the programme, so that they can do justice to the training process.
Shumayri Musharraf from Bahrain Toastmasters kicked off the workshop by addressing the most important elements that must be met in good speech and gave many examples to engage the students directly. University of Bahrain laboratory technician and Bahrain Toastmasters Club Chairman Mohamed Hassan also spoke at the event and addressed the students.
Around 60 students representing public and private schools at the Ministry of Education attended.
In her remarks, Shaikha Hessa thanked the GPIC for hosting the workshop and for its contribution and success of the foundation programmes. She appreciated the role of Dr. Jawahery and applauded his efforts to raise the level of the organisation and its training programmes.
inJAz Bahrain, established in 2005 on the initiative of Shaikha Hessa, aims to educate young people about the value of work in life and introduce them to work ethic, as well as developing practical and personal skills and prepare them for the labour market.
It also seeks to serve the local community through programmes that communicate directly with youth groups in this community over the year. Since its establishment, it has also managed to attract the attention of most companies and institutions in Bahrain as partners in its work as well as students.
Through these programmes, school students learn to work in the financial sector and economic environment through volunteer experience. They also look at these programmes as a means non-routine process to educate themselves.
inJAz Bahrain has always been keen to provide the opportunity businessmen to engage in educational programmes as volunteers, members of the Board of Directors, or working to expand the scope of the programmes through the provision of support.
These programmes are designed to invite experienced businessmen to provide their expertise directly through the educational process, so that public and private schools may adopt it in their curricula.
