Alba was one of the few companies in the world to have received the Millennium Business Award for Environmental Achievement by the United Nations in 2000.In Alba we believe that managing and recycling waste is not only good for the environment but also makes sound business sense. It promotes efficient use of resources, eliminates wasteful expenditure and brings in added value through constant recycling. It is for this reason we are proud to support the 1st Bahrain Waste Management Forum & Exhibition 2011 and look forward to discussions and solutions on meeting the conference’s main goal, which is, achieving zero waste.”Alba’s success in managing its water resources provides a small glimpse of the company’s accomplishment in recycling. To date, the quantity of water recycled represents 70% of the total quantity of wastewater that can be reused.
