Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
Jeddah - Arab Today

Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will travel to the United States within the next few days to sign several agreements with American companies.
This is according to Minister of Commerce and Investment Majid Al-Qassabi, who was speaking on Friday at another round of press conferences held by Cabinet ministers to brief the nation about the National Transformation Program (NTP) for 2020, the operational plan for Vision 2030.
Several news organizations revealed the visit about a week ago, with one source quoted saying the deputy crown prince would travel to New York to meet with a financial firm, and then head to Washington and Los Angeles. According to one report, the “foreign policy and economic visit” would be from June 14 to 16, where the prince would meet with various officials from the White House, State Department and Pentagon, as well as business leaders.
According to the source, he plans to discuss the civil war in Syria, the fight against Daesh and the conflict in Yemen. He would also promote the country’s economic plan for expanding the Saudi private sector and attracting investment to the Kingdom.
Prince Mohammed, who is the defense minister, chairs the Council for Economic and Development Affairs, the body tasked with carrying out Vision 2030, the ambitious plan to wean the country from its dependence on oil, with most revenue derived from investment income.
