Mohammad Nahavandian and Hakan Tekin
Tehran - FAN

Iranian President's Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian and Turkey's Ambassador to Tehran Hakan Tekin explored new ways of boosting bilateral ties.
Speaking in a meeting with the Turkish envoy on Monday, Nahavandian said that Iran is pleased with implementation of preferential trade agreement between the two friendly nations adding that of course it needs removal of existing obstacles in the way of exports of some items from Iran to Turkey.
Nahavandian said that reciprocal visits between officials of the two countries will facilitate and accelerate expansion of trade.
Tekin, for his part, expressed the hope that during his tenure in Tehran he would consolidate economic ties between the two countries.
He said that quality of preferential trade agreement between Iran and Turkey is very rare and Turkey intends to establish free trade zones between the two nations.
Iran and Turkey have been pursuing widening of their ties in various fields in the last two decades. Iran is a main energy supplier to Turkey and Ankara has made huge investments in Iran.
Iran is a main destination of Turkish goods and Turkey is among the top destinations of Iranian tourists and traders.
