Forty-nine ships transited the Suez Canal on Thursday, with a total cargo load of about 2.684 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 25 vessels carrying 1.449 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 24 ships carrying 1.235 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
