Ahmad bin Shafar, CEO of Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, Empower, has received the prestigious title of 'CEO of the Year - Energy' at the CEO Middle East Awards.

Ahmad bin Shafar was bestowed with the honour in recognition of the role he has played in strengthening the district cooling sector in the Middle East, as well as his significant contributions for leading the country towards sustainable development.

"I'm truly honoured to receive this accolade. While the award is a testament to our continuous efforts to adopt best integrated green practices, it also serves as an encouragement to keep moving forward," said bin Shafar.

He added, "CEO Middle East Awards have proven to be of high calibre, showing a strong motivation to achieve fantastic results within our respective sectors. Being chosen as the ‘CEO of the Year-Energy’ is a tremendous privilege, and I am grateful for the opportunity that I’ve had for playing such an instrumental role in the transformation of district cooling industry."
