H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has hailed the Fifth Emirates Heritage Festival 2016 organised by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in Ras al-Khaimah.

The Ruler commended the festival's role in highlighting the authentic Emirati heritage as one of the most important components of national identity.

He made his remarks at the opening of the Fifth Emirates Heritage Festival 2016 at Shamil Association for Art and Heritage in Ras al-Khaimah.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, and Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Sheikh Sultan bin Jamal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director of Citizens Affairs at the Emiri Court, Sheikh Mohammed bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mubarak bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and a number of officials were present at the opening ceremony.

On the occasion, Sheikh Saud expressed his deepest appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and the Rulers of the Emirates.
