H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, congratulated all mothers on the occasion of Mother's Day.
He said, '' Words cannot describe how great mothers are. Human beings acquire their human characteristics from mothers as mothers were, and still are the conscience of nations and a school of human merit and the good. We greet mothers as they are the source of love, purity and compassion."
In his remarks on the occasion of Mother's Day he said, ''When we celebrate and honour H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, we celebrate her unlimited and permanent sacrifices and contributions as she always supported the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in the good and hard times, and could manage to be a shining symbol of the beginning and continuity of the dream."
He added that every great future is backed by great mothers as they are role models for their sons and daughters. He re-affirmed that Emirati women were and still are the first ones who celebrate the success of their sons and protect them. "We have the exemplary example of mothers of the nation’s martyrs who are like the lights of candles that inspires Emirati servicemen to stay up and defend the gains of the nations."
