Cairo - Arabstoday

Electronic music festival 100 Live is returning for the seventh year with a diverse line-up of alternative musicians. Shows will take place at the Rawabet Theatre in downtown Cairo on Thursday 6 June and Friday 7 June. Festival highlights include performances by world-renowned UK sonic artist and electronic musician Kode9, and Egyptian electronic musician and record producer NeoByrd. The line-up includes electro-shaabi music, dubstep and other alternative music forms. The event is being organised by 100 Copies Music, and supported by the British Council, the Dutch Embassy, Retune Studio, Sound Life, Redbull and Rawabet Theatre. 100Copies Music is an independent music label that started in Cairo in 2006 to create a network for experimental musicians.
