Nobel literature laureate Patrick Modiano

French-born Nobel literature laureate Patrick Modiano on Saturday said he believed a new genre of memory writing could evolve with the help of the internet and social media, dpa reported.
Asked about the impact of new media on writing, Modiano said new technologies would inspire future writers to 'capture fragments' and perhaps this would evolve into a new genre.
