A senior leader of the Taliban elements group was killed during a special military operation conducted by the Afghan police forces in Central Wardak province of Afghanistan.
The Afghaninstan's Ministry of Interior on Wednesday said the operation was conducted in Ibrahim Khel village of Wardak in the bordering region of central Logar province, Khaama Press reported.
A statement by the ministry said commander Noorialai was a key Taliban group commander who was killed along with his 5 fighters during the operation.
The statement further added that the commander was involved in major armed operations activities in this province, including kidnappings and attacks on telecommunication towers.
