The Israeli deadly air attacks on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip drew angry responses from around the globe on Wednesday.
In Cairo the Egyptian Foreign Ministry urged Israel to stop the military offensive, practice maximum self-restraint and refrain from measures of collective punishment.
All efforts must be made in order to prevent the situation from sliding into a vicious cycle of violence which could lead only to more complication and more loss of civilian lives, according to a statement by the Ministry.
"Israel has to keep open the channels of contacts with the Palestinian National Authority in order to ensure justice for both sides. Egypt is contacting all concerned parties in the region and beyond to contain the situation," according to the statement.
Egypt also affirmed that the health facilities in North Sinai Governorate are put on alert to receive the Palestinians injured in the Israeli air strikes.
"The Egyptian authorities are ready to cooperate with the authorities in Gaza Strip in providing care for the victims of the attacks," Governor of North Sinai Maj.-Gen. Al-Sayed Abdulfattah Harhor told the state MENA news agency tonight.
In Abu-Dhabi the UAE Foreign Ministry strongly denounced the Israeli military offensive and the repeated aggressions on the Palestinian people in the occupied territories.
"The UAE condemns in the strongest terms the recent series of air raids launched by the Israeli occupation authorities on Gaza Strip which claimed large numbers of casualties among the Palestinian people," a statement by the Ministry said. "The UAE reaffirms rejection of all forms of violence, including the measures of collective punishment, which result in loss of civilian lives," it added.
On his part, Tunisian Interim President Moncef Marzouki renewed full solidarity with the Palestinian people in their current ordeal due to the Israeli aggression.
In a phone conversation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Marzouki mulled ways for lobbying for an urgent measures by regional and international key players to stop "the brutal Israeli aggression," according to a Tunisian presidential statement.
The presidency of the National Constituent Assembly (NCA or the Tunisian interim parliament) issued a statement calling for immediate halt to "the indiscriminate attacks" and repressive measures against the Palestinian people.
