Beirut - Riad Shouman

Karadeniz Powership Fatmagül Sultan Lebanese authorities have launched an investigation after problems with the Karadeniz Powership Fatmagül Sultan led to power cuts across the country. On Thursday, the Turkish Karadeniz power company confirmed that the powership had been fixed and power was being generated 24 hours a day once again.
A commission of inquiry that was designated by the Head of the Audit Court, Judge Aouni Ramadan, issued its preliminary report over the causes of the powership's malfunction, citing fuel incompatibility as the main reason.
Ralph Faisal, the local representative of the Turkish firm Karadeniz said in a press release that the "appropriate fuel" arrived on June 3, adding that the powership stopped working as failures were being repaired over the span of two weeks.
On February 26, the first powership, named Fatmagül Sultan, arrived at the Zouk Power Plant port.
