The sequel starts with a quake in the ice which nearly kills Alexis Vonderach, setting off new confrontations with the blind alien tribes of Europa. In the weeks since First Contact, her crew has learned their bizarre language… but the sunfish are as violent as their world. In a recent interview Jeff stated: "I went out of my way to clarify this is a short novel rather than a large sized door stopper. Why? Because as I wrote it, I realized Betrayed is a complete story unto itself and makes a fine new entry in what I’m calling “the Europa series.” That’s right. Series. I’m working on Frozen Sky 3 as we speak." Jeff's "Plague Year" and "Plague Zone" novels published since his win in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future contest attracted a large audience and were published in multiple languages., making Jeff an international bestselling author. The L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future contest, now in it's 31st year, created by best-selling author L. Ron Hubbard, is a merit-based competition initiated to discover and encourage talented beginning writers of science fiction and fantasy and help launch their careers. Winners are treated to not only publication of their work in the annual L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future, but are also given a week-long workshop on the life of a writer and a gala awards ceremony. The contest has launched the careers of twelve New York Times bestselling authors in it's 30 year history. Source: PRWEB
