The State of Qatar has won the membership of the Legal Committee, the Headquarters Committee, and the Intergovernmental Committee for Physical Education and Sport (CIGEPS) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This came during the UNESCO's elections of the subcommittees of the 37th session of the general conference of the international organisation , now in session in Paris and which began earlier on Nov.5 and are to conclude on Nov.20.   The winning of Qatar came during the vote of the UNESCO 195 member states, and through the consensus within the Arab group at UNESCO, which unanimously supported the nomination of the State of Qatar for these key and significant international committees .   These committees meet periodically at the UNESCO's headquarters in Paris , to study international issues tabled on its agenda , and to take the appropriate resolutions.    The Legal Committee's membership includes in addition to Qatar , each of Egypt , Palestine, Sudan of the Arab Group, as well as France , Germany, Italy and the United States of Europe and North America zone, and each of the Czech Republic , the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan, of the Group of Eastern European countries . It also includes some countries including Gabon and Kenya of the Commission of the African continent . Whereas the Headquarters Committee includes in addition to Qatar , each of Sudan , Senegal , Kenya , Sri Lanka, Korea , Bangladesh , Spain and Portugal.   The (CIGEPS) includes each of the State of Qatar , Yemen, South Africa , Congo , Iran , Indonesia, Brazil and the Russian Federation , Germany and Denmark.   The membership in these committees continue for four years, and elections are held every two years to renew half of its members .
