Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed
Manama - BNA

Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa said that preparations are well underway for the Music Festival2014.
The festival would follow the Taa Al-Shabab Festival 2014 launched last night in addition to the various activities of National Theatre.
The Minister said that these cultural events created effective cultural activities which should always be maintained, the Minister added.
The Minister told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) on the side-lines of Taa Al-Shabab Festival launching that the role of culture was to encourage youths and to showcase their talents and brush them up as well as give them the opportunity to win.
The Minister said that youths should portray their talents to the people and homeland in order to plant beauty and advancement everywhere, stressing that the role of culture would never stop and would continue all year round.
The Minister said that all that we have done and presented we would feel shortcoming to our homeland. We always give instead of demand.
She stressed the essentiality of creating a new culture whose basic role would be to advance the society, send signals in rejection of all negativities because culture alone is capable of building nations and therefore cultural activities should continue, citing Bahrain Summer that fulfilled the aspirations of Bahraini families, Taa Al-Shabab which gave a space of freedom for youths to implement their ideas in all cultural fields whom we should encourage and provide them with all capabilities to create and innovate.
The Minister shed light on the Kingdom of Bahrain's participation in Venice Architecture Biennale 2014. She said that the Kingdom presented a role model to be followed in all Arab countries in terms of architectural studies.
