London - MENA

British Foreign Office has said that two British soldiers are participating in Prince Sultan international contest for memorization of the Holy Quran that launched in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
British Defense Ministry advisor Essam Hafez said Muslim soldiers in Britain were playing a crucial role in protecting their country, adding that the competition required a great chance for British Muslims to show that they were committed to their religion as well as their country.
He added that British army respects all regions, pointing out that his country thanked Saudi Arabia for inviting them to participate in the international contest.
