Natural gas, which is considered among the greenest and cleanest energy sources, is expected to play a growing role in the country\'s energy mix. The UAE is estimated to have the fifth largest gas reserve in the world with about 198.5 trillion cubic feet according to the US Energy Information Administration. It is projected that as the world transitions to cleaner fuels, natural gas will account for more than 60% of the world\'s residential and commercial energy demand by 2040. The UAE\'s increased use of natural gas is in line with its energy diversification strategy outlined in Abu Dhabi\'s Economic Vision 2030.
