Banha University has no political affiliation

Head of Banha University Ali Shams Eldin said the university has no political affiliations. Any student or teacher involved in violent acts or organizing non-peaceful demonstrations will be referred to a disciplinary committee, he added. Shams Eldin underlined that a group of students belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood were referred to a disciplinary committee after clashes that took place between them and other students during a protest rally they staged on campus to call for the reinstatement of ousted president Mohamed Morsi.
