Naoucchott - Mohammad Sharif Abeidy

The Mauritanian Student Union has blamed their government for not evacuating students from Syria, despite the fact that most Arab countries have already done so. The union is calling President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz to take action in order to repatriate Mauritanian students who are stuck in Syria. In a statement to Arabstoday, the Student Union said that “the government has once again shown negligence for Mauritanian students. This is the cherry on top of long-lasting lazy, lying and irresponsible government. “Despite the incredibly long and painful wait, the government still claims that there is an evacuation plan and that they’re only facing logistics problems. It is not the time to play with the students’ destiny. We can no longer bear this negligence.”
