NBAD
Abu Dhabi - WAM

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi, NBAD, has launched a new state-of-the-art mobile banking solution for its customers in the UAE. The launch of NBAD’s new mobile banking app is part of the bank’s strategy to upgrade all its banking channels including branches, website, online banking and ATMs.

Abdulla Al Otaiba, Senior Managing Director and Group Head of Global Retail and Commercial at NBAD, said, "We aim to build the largest, safest and best performing bank first in the UAE, and over time in the GCC. We recognised that technology is rapidly changing the way customers interact with us. With this in mind, we are upgrading all our channels and touch points aiming to offer the best possible access to our customers, regardless of which channel they prefer."

NBAD Mobile Banking is an integrated platform through which NBAD customers can manage their accounts and cards, transfer money to any bank account in the world, pay utility bills, and instantly block a card when needed. The application also allows customers to connect immediately to the NBAD contact centre, or through an email. The application comes with best-in-class security features. It allows only one registration for a unique mobile number and for easy access it requires only the mobile password for every login.

"We have recently launched the new and interactive NBAD website. We are also upgrading our physical branches followed by an upgrade of our ATMs and online banking. It is a meticulous strategy to offer a world- class, market leading and consistently excellent customer experience to our valued customers," Al Otaiba said.

Customers will be able to customise NBAD Mobile Banking dashboard to show the favorite options. This puts the information exactly where they want it so they can easily stay on top of their financial management. The unique ‘Comfort Zone’ feature allows users to set a maximum and minimum balance they are comfortable having in their accounts, hence, monitor the status of the account at a glance.

"It is expected that mobile banking users and usage will exceed 1.75 billion in 2019, representing 32% of the global adult population. Today, the UAE stands at the forefront of mobile banking industry being among the highest in the world in terms of penetration. NBAD mobile banking application is a result of long and extensive research and development. We expect it to be among the most popular mobile banking apps in the market," Al Otaiba concluded.
