At the conclusion of the 64th meeting of the Arab Information Ministers' Council in Cairo, the council has elected the UAE as a deputy of the new Board of the Executive Office for the coming two years. It also elected Egypt as president of the term.

The new formation includes Tunisia, Kuwait, Morocco, Algeria, Iraq and Djibouti in addition to Egypt and the UAE.

It is also scheduled that the Executive Office will hold its 4th edition next November at the general headquarters of the Arab league to follow up the implementation of the council's issued resolutions.

The 64th meeting of the Arab Information Ministers' Council began today under the Chairmanship of the United Arab Emirates, represented in the National Media Council, at the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo.

The participating UAE delegation to the meeting was led by Ibrahim Al Abed, Director-General of the National Media Council, NMC. The delegation also included Juma Al Laim, Director of the Media Contents Department at the Council and Ali Al Shamili, in-charge of Arab League Affairs at the UAE Embassy in Cairo.
